+ I absolutely adore the graphics in Assassins Creed, Brotherhood is no different, the amount of detail added to the world to make it seem like an early century Rome. Ubisoft must’ve needed shit tons of research done to know what makes up 16th Century Rome and man they pull it off very well, aesthetically look beautiful and the way you can interact with nearly all of the structures.
+ The sound of each weapon is unique, when you hear the hidden blade shink out, you know it’s going down. And the voice acting, like most Ubisoft games are amazing, Ezio’s voice actor really brings the character alive with his charismatic yet serious personality; as well as Leonardo and Desmond’s team.
+ The story is one of the strongest parts as it is taking the history we learnt in secondary school and giving it a twist with the addition of a secret Templar vs Assassins war, and using the Catholicism to make sense of it. Whether it be through the Apple of Eden or the hinted Adam and Eve involvement. The developers even took real life characters and made them alive whilst making sense of their involvement, one of the characters being Caterina Sforza.
+ Gameplay is repetitive but enjoyable, the close quarters mechanics is too easy to use with the counter button, you can practically win every battle by countering their attacks at the right time, and if it doesn’t work, kick them then mash attack. The battling mechanics is too simple and easy, in Assassins Creed Unity, they finally discovered how to improve upon this.
+ There are a lot of great improvements in Brotherhood, especially the brotherhood, you can send your brothers on missions or ask for their aid in a fight, whether it is through an arrow storm or just assassinating. And they level up the more experience they get, and you can get them max levelled for maximum efficiency in battle. So the game inputs a little strategy as well, and it is cool knowing I’m in charge of a brotherhood.
+ There are even hidden messages within the animus which link the events of the war between Templars and Assassins to real life events, including the former President of the United States George W Bush, and that he was a Templar as he intentionally used capitalism and started wars. Even the developer claimed that he wanted to make a game that talks about real life politics, so he just made fake names and threw them back a few centuries.
+ The introduction of multiplayer is one of the stronger points in the game as I believe Ubisoft realized that a lot of games are successful when played with others, and the Brotherhood Multiplayer is great step forward, although the PvP assassination mode is very simple, Ubisoft also learned that for a game like Assassins Creed, where you have fellow assassins which help you in the campaign, they should establish a co-op instead of a PvP, this they improved upon in Unity as well.
Assassins Creed Brotherhood is the best assassins creed in my opinion mainly because of the introduction of the Brotherhood and the deepening of the Assassins Creed World. Ubisoft is amazing at creating open world games and this one does not disappoint, you are the assassin, you choose your approach to get your mission done. And the character given to each character, whether they be real or fictional, the way they are made, it is hard to tell otherwise. Because the developers successfully took each historical event they manipulated and made sense of every event while keeping it historically accurate.
If you love the Assassins Creed Series and want to know which is best, Brotherhood is here and has been for years, or if you love 3rd Person open worlds with great graphics and sick stories. Brotherhood is your game and is very much recommended.
