+ Graphics have definitely improved slightly, but that is not the important part of Black Ops 2. In comparison to its predecessors, its graphics does not differ much, Black Ops 2 mainly focuses on the gameplay rather than the beauty of the game, and it is completely fine. That is where Ghosts can show off. But the multiplayer of Black Ops 2 is the strongest point of the entire game, with so much customization options of their weaponry and perks. The skins they could purchase to decorate their guns were beautifully made and adored by many, especially the bacon skin.
+ Gameplay is very smooth but there are glitches here and there, none of which is looked down upon but a few things that could be abused by trolls and/or youtubers (Vanoss | Lui Calibre). But all around the game is very smooth and it is easy to waste a lot of hours on the game, wanting to rise up the ranks of prestige and become the best is a very good motivation.
+- Sound of the game is very well put together, the soundtrack for the campaign isn’t strong but it gets the job done, the weaponry sound does not disappoint like the others in the franchise and the voice acting is very professional, as they’ve learnt from the Modern Warfare franchise. But although the voice actors made the characters feel alive, they lacked a lot of depth.
+ Multiplayer of Black Ops 2 is the strongest point with the multiple game modes and customization. Call of Duty constantly gives you more toys to play and fuck around with in every new instalment and Black Ops 2 is different as, instead of giving you a few toys, they give you the entire toy box.
+ The DLCs of Black Ops 2 is rather pricy but is it worth; I would have to say yes. The new maps are very fun and the new zombies maps are loved. Zombies is a very much loved mode of Call of Duty since World at War released a few years back. And Treyarch made a smart move, remaking it and putting it in Black Ops, then returning it in Black Ops 2, stronger than ever.
- The campaign though has to be one of the weakest points, Call of Duty isn’t known for its amazing campaigns - with the exception of COD4, the original 3 and World at War - so it didn’t come as a surprise that the sequel to one of the badly made campaigns (Black Ops) by Call of Duty, lacked a good story and a well built villain. It is just another anticapitalist hell-bent on destroying capitalism. Call of Duty needs to improve its campaign above all other things.
Black Ops 2 is without a doubt a very fun game when it comes to gamemodes other than the campaign, the multiplayer is just a box full of toys and surprises which lead to loads of fun. And the zombies mode will always be loved. But the campaign was incredibly weak and was probably the thing that brought Black Ops 2 down.
Call of Duty had been struggling to create decent campaigns after Modern Warfare 3, they need to look back at what they did right with the Call of Duty 4 campaign and learn from it, because COD4 had by far the strongest campaign out of them all.
But if you are not one for playing campaigns and enjoy multiplayer PvP shooters, then Black Ops 2 is your game because that was the only area where they did everything right rather than wrong.
